Cardboard Christmas

Greetings to all…

For this project, I am taking a seasonal detour from my usual work with Little Glitter Houses. It was inspired by a vintage cardboard pull toy from the 1930s or 1940s that I found online. Although I cannot share an image of the original due to copyright restrictions, and the auction listing appears to have been removed, I wanted to create my own interpretation based on what I saw.

My version is smaller than the original, which measured just over 10 inches in length. Unlike the original, my model does not feature wooden wheels that roll.
Pattern sheet 1 of 2 and progress pictures are shown below. Pattern sheet 2 of 2 for the load Carrot has possibly taken from Mr. McGregor’s garden will be posted later.

UPDATE...2/21/2026

"Carrot the Bunny" has been finished with a coat of glitter over the craft paint. I drew in the eyes, ears, nose, mouth and the lines accentuating the legs with a pinkish permanent marker. The details on making the carrots are in the picture below.

Stay tuned for more Little Glitter House projects soon. Hopefully my reoccurring scanner, printer and copier issues will be resolved by the end of the month or early next month.
