I can not for the life of me find a picture of a house with the Sneaky Santa window.
I thought it was a house of the month on teds site. But I can not find it.

Any one remember where the house might be.

Steve

Hmmm... sneaky Santa? Is he a picture in the window or is he sneaking around the front of the house, and Papa Ted comments that he does not know what Santa is doing, but he would not want to be caught doing it either.

Steve, there's a slouching Santa figure with a bag over his back that someone else once dubbed "sneaky Santa." He's often placed in a funny location as if he's hiding behind a chimney or something.

The first time I saw it, it was on a house that also had the Santa down in the window corner like the one in the photo. So I thought they were talking about the window and called the Santa in the window "sneaky Santa." So I may have added to the confusion. :-(

Howard, Tom, can you give us the skinny?

Hi, all,
The "Sneaky Santa" is featured in the June 2005 HOM section of Ted's site. I just wandered through it for the first time in a few months and was touched all over again by Ted's wonderful comments. This is the time of year when he really began to be excited about houses and villages and visitors to his site. October 29 is the sad anniversary of his passing. Thanks again, Paul, for archiving Papa Ted's place on the Cardboard Christmas site. Here's a link to the house:

I guess I'm confused too.

So there 2 sneaky Santas.

I was referring to the houses with the Santa printed in the window art.

But now I see there's a figure of Santa sneaking around too.

Hmmm

Okay here goes. The Santa Window was a hacienda window and Ted inserted it near the end of his Hacienda section. Someone sent him a picture of one later. As far as I know the only "Sneaky Santa" was a bent over one that was made of pottery and designed to be applied to the outside of a building and Ted dubbed it the sneaky Santa. I always thought he looked like he was taking a leak and got caught. There is nothing sneaky about the Santa window as he is looking directly at you. Hope this clears things up a bit. Tom
