These photos were taken by a putzing collector--they're from a 2011 Golden Glow of Christmas convention; you can read more here, photos link too

In any case, I love this idea--and hope to replicate it this year. I've got the houses worked out in my mind--it's just a matter of constructing the wall/box/shelf/background piece for them to sit on. I'll probably seal up the back so the lighting wires are hidden.

I like the early candy-boxes in the foreground with the hand-painted doors. But the big question is "Was the multilevel display shipped that way from the manufacturer? (Czech-style) Otherwise, someone cut the buildings in half.
Whatcha think?

No this was definitely like this. I checked. Also someone on this forum had one of these from her grandfather--albeit in hard shape.
One of these came to EBAY about 5 months ago and I may have forgotten to tell you all about it--it was in primo condition and I may have saved a photo somewhere--went for over $500--and was German

Heck of a cool set. I have seen ones that were Czeck and were more gray and this is much prettier and brighter. Nice and VERY rare.

WOW, the photos on ebay really give you an idea of the details.
