good morning...

yes...a retro travel trailer...something different...

the pictures below are of my initial cardboard mock up with gray primer and a card stock awning...

the base shown is just a temporary one...from this initial rough model i can refine and adjust my patterns...

base will measure approximately 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 5/8" thick...overall height will be about 3 1/4" including base...

i'll be posting pictures from time to time over the next several weeks...

yes...there will be "yard art"...you'll just have to wait and see...

now for a future project "spoiler alert"...

i have been asked about building an ocean liner from the "gilded age" of travel...

a scaled down and compressed version...done in black, red, white, and gold on a blue green glitter sea...

more about the ocean liner later...

my very best regards...howard...

I love the little details.

The propane tank is cool.

I figure some Flamingo's might show up too! :-)

good evening...

here's what takes time to plan, draw, transfer to cardboard and cut out...the one-piece folding body of the trailer...

each wheel is made from three cardboard disks and a cardboard doughnut...each vent is just two cardboard squares...

regarding the "yard art"...some of you have already figured out what i'll probably use...but don't be too sure just yet...

my very best regards...howard...

This little trailer resembles the one my family had when I was a kid. What great memories! Howard, you never cease to amaze!
As far as the ocean liner, I can't wait to see what you do! One of my other hobbies is collecting ocean liner memorabilia from the golden age of travel. I have also built a number of ocean liner models...just amazing.
