I found the pic of Rock Village Court Hotel on a car related message board and fell in love. A putz creation using printed stone surfaces would sure look good with some of the styling used on the Rock Court.

And slightly related is a house built by Karl Fey for me several years ago. It was a near replica of a WPA plaster model from the 1930s that he created from just a couple of photos. It shares the glass block features as well as the curved section off the main structure. I REALLY miss Karl and treasure the few custom creations I got from him. The cars are 1/72 scale Studebakers made by the Shrock brothers.

Good morning...
Dcrowe...thanks for posting the pictures...
I always wondered who had this house that Karl built...I had not seen the pictures in years..it is so art deco in every respect...can't you just see a streetcar passing by?...
I miss seeing all of Karl's creations on his web page and facebook...I must confess that I learned so much fron his work...
Karl...if you following us...HELLO!...and...let us hear from you!...
My very best regards...Howard...

Glad everyone has enjoyed the Fey house. Here is a pic of the structure that was planned to be next from Karl. It is also an old WPA plaster model and represents a San Francisco art deco town house. Unfortunately I don't have any better photos of it now. The actual plaster piece does still exist in a collection somewhere. I think Karl had even worked on some drawings before changing his focus.

This looks very much like two blocks of housing in the Maspeth section of Queens from the 30's.
