The reason I started the Collector's guide was to catalog what I already have so I don't buy doubles and triples (That doesn't work if you don't look at the guide!) Also the Collector's Guide give you a permanent record of all the houses that are out there. But there are so many nuances that it's impossible to be familiar with everything. Cass in point, I had a customer that needs blueprints and coconut to build the "Double Dormer" house. I knew that I had one in my display case and went and retrieved as my template. He had sent me a picture of the one that he wanted to construct. After close examination I realized I was looking at the same house only it comes in two sizes. Only God knows how many times I let the "Baby Double Dormer" slip through my fingers because I believed I already had one! Am I the only one that wasn't aware of the two?

Yes I was aware of the two different size houses (I have them) of this design also some had a raffia type fence on! There are several variations on the "Fair Set" that I have seen. At least two different sizes of the 10th ave. Angel house and in different finishes, 2 or more different variations of the window set up in the red offset cape code style that I think of as the Antoinette House because her house looks much like it. Probably more but that's what I know. I think these things are so handmade on sort of a serial production bases that the worker may have substituted paint colors, cut the pieces differently etc. I think the way they made them with the pre impressed lines in the cardboard was part of a system that allowed nearly endless variation. I suspect it was encouraged and likely impossible to document them all.

Me too!! I tried making one from a picture I had long time ago before I knew about Papa Ted's site.

Hi Paul, I did make one of the big sisters. Mine is a little darker blue than most of these houses with my Fair set repros, I was trying to replicate the set on Papa Ted's site. Heres a link to the page, on the previous page you can see the one that is on Papa Ted's in the background.
