This is the best photo we have; Rob and Monica found it at an estate sale--marked Japan--it lights up--there's a Santa image in the fireplace, the remnants of stockings, and that top panel really had little pixies printed on it.

It reminded me of the fireplaces that Howard makes--you can see those here https://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@ ... 5pm-7RhTBL and here https://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@ ... 5pm-7RhTBL

but with a kitschy edge

Howard's are more elegant

the one shown below is from the 1950's

Rob and Monica's site by the way is OURADVENTURESAMONGSTTHEDUCKS--they chronicle their weekly estate sale adventures http://www.ouradventuresamongsttheducks.blogspot.com/

The brick paper is the same pattern as used on many houses pre and post-war as far as I know. But the photo over the fireplace says "post-war" to me. In the meantime, looks like they've put Santa on the hot-seat!

I actually found one of these on ebay today but it was gone in a shot--I came in on the last minutes of bidding--it sold for $20 and was in much better condition--and yes it had the pixies too!

The seller said it was late 50's and came from his grandmother. Either way, I think I'd like to see what Howard would do with this one!
