regarding making scallop fences…here’s one method outlined by tom hull…click on this link…

http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/papat ... emend.html

here’s the method i used…(because i already had the tools)…

first, stamp cut the basic shape...a single hammer blow will usually cut one thickness of cardboard...

then radius the top of the scallops with a craft knife…

a couple of coats of primer and finish will hide any imperfections in your cuts…

it’s not a perfect solution…but it works…

regarding making fence post…i used the same rolled paper technique as tom…

but use a bamboo skewer in place of a toothpick and a strips cut from mailing envelope paper…

my very best regards…howard

Wow thats a cool blade, Im going to have to look for that one. I've cut all the fence I've done by hand and its a pain. I did have part of an original to trace which was nice to get the spacing right. You start to feel like a surgeon after so many cuts. :) Very neat, thanks for sharing!

Real nice technique. And it is a pain to cut them out by hand. Tom
