Posting YOUR favorite house of the month.

Post by paulrace »

Okay, I don't know for sure the best way to do this, but we have to start somewhere. Seems like there are a lot of houses certain folks could post, and putting a limit of one per month for the whole site is overkill. Why don't we start out with each member being able to provide his or her own "house of the month"?

Houses should be actual vintage houses, though they can be restored. If you restore it yourself (are you listening, Tom?), before and after photos should be welcome.

When you hit the "reply" button, you'll have a place to enter as much information as you want to about your house.

What about photos? Under the comments section, you see a blue bar that says "upload attachment." (If you don't see that, click the box that says "Full Editor."

Under that is a place where you can browse for your .gif or .jpg file. Once you've selected the file, click Add the File.

Your photos work best if they're about 800px wide - any wider and people have to scroll to see your comments AND the photo.

Hope this gets you started, and thanks for participating,

Paul

BTW, I started a new forum on posting photos to the forums. Right now there are two messages - how to shrink your photos to look good on the forum, and how to upload them.
