Going to Pot

Please use this forum for photos of your putz villages - some of you don't make your own houses, but you still display a lot of artistry when you combine and arrange them. And the rest of us would love to see your work. Again, it works best if you resize your photos to 800px wide or less before you upload them - Paul

Going to Pot

Post by BurghGal »

Hope everyone had a most merry Christmas, filled with good friends and family, good food and that Santa brought you a toy or two. My hubby got me a Japanese tea pot, which I love...but what I also love almost as much was how it was packaged. It came in a box and when I lifted the pot out, it was sitting on this piece of styrofoam. Immediately I thought "This will make a perfect lake for my putz layout!" Now is that a sad thing to admit, or just another example of how this putz building gets into one's psyche? We look at everything from cereal boxes to toilet paper tubes and think "what can I make that into?" Can't wait to get to work on this!

I share the same mentality. I can barely bring myself to recycle interesting little boxes or vac formed plastic. I even look at packaging as I walk through the grocery store to make sure I can live without that "just right" shape. As I like to say, "perspective is everything."
