"dutch colonial"...small size version...

Post by Howard »

good evening...

here's a little project i have been working on this week...base measures 4" x 5"...overall height with base is 4 3/4"...two coats of white primer are next...

if the dormer roofs look a bit askew it's because they are not attached with glue...i'll glue them last...after the dormers have been painted, mica and glitter have been added and the windows are installed...it's too tight a fit to leave room to slide the windows in from the bottom edger of the dormer in a slit on the inside like i usually do...

my very best regards...

howard...

good afternoon...

house is painted and will get mica/glitter finish soon...the dormer roofs are not shown...when dark green landscape, red and gold windows and a santa are added i think there will be something from every color family...

speaking of colors...the colors i choose were inspired by a link to an early1920s/1930s house color paint catalog that maria posted on her blog...i couldn't find the link just now...perhaps she can post again...

my very best regards...
