another look built with the "basic cottage pattern"...

Post by Howard »

greetings to all...

yes...a new month...and another new project...(guess that's no surprise)...

it may be a new project...but it's based on the same "basic cottage pattern" i've used many, many times before...i fall back on this pattern when i want to try a new color combination or finish...

here's the link to the original article...

http://www.littleglitterhouses.com/paul ... houses.htm

all i do is change the location and size of the door and windows...then add a new detail or two...like the window in the section that sticks out from the front on the left...

my very best regards...howard...

good morning...

all the cardboard work is finished...now on to primer, paint, finish, final assembly and details...

base measures a little over 4" x 5" x 5/8" high...overall height, including base, is approximately 4 1/2"...

my very best regards...howard...

Very nice, and not that dissimilar from a lot of real houses in the neighborhood I grew up in.

good evening...from a very warm and humid north florida...

i finish the cottage yesterday afternoon and took a few pix a short while ago...

not 100% sure i am sold on the colors...got to shy away from gray/silver...

all the window mullion are hand cut from foil paper...not as perfect as die cut window mullions...

but none of the openings are a standard size...

i put an extra shot of mica flakes in the glitter as well...not 100% sold on that either...

my very best regards...howard...

Cool Howard, that is a great little house!!! The sparkles seem extra big on this one, and its very shiny with the foil. An eye catcher for sure!
