I did make a slight adjustment to the sides of the house I lowered the height by about 1/8 of an inch so the smaller roof fit properly. I used Snow Tex on the roof and fence. This was the first time using this and I really liked working with it. I used mica on the house, fence and base. I mixed a bit of rice flower with white paint for the snow on the loofah tree. I am thinking I may try the red house next. Howard your right theses little houses are fun to make!!
so...you like yellow and blue, too!... :D your yellow house turned out great...a really vintage look...i think that's what we're all after in our own way...the green fence, low base and a flip of the pattern gives it another look...it just goes to show you how versatile these 45+ year old patterns really are...

greetings to all...

here's my version of the "yellow house"...and...i swear...lynn and i did not conspire to choose the blue roof color...

if anyone wants a "starter village"...there is no better place to start than building the "pack-o-fun" houses...

and just like lynn did...flip patterns...change the colors...go with high and low base types...different landscape...

turn these five basic patterns into many, many houses...

i think there is only one thing missing...a "LOGGIE"...got to see what i can do about that...

stay tuned...

my very best regards...

howard...

good afternoon...

the "pack-o-fun" village needs a "loggie"...here's mine...based on the reversed layout that lynn used on her "yellow house"...

the "small ripple" or "small flute" single-face cardboard is craft store scrap booking material laminated to cereal box cardboard...
