Painted on Stonework on MIJ houses

Post by BrianB »

Good day!!

I was doing some investigating the other day and I was wondering if anybody could help me. I'm getting ready to work on a house that Im thinking about doing painted stone work on in the traditional Japanese style. The house is a custom house Im building. But in my search for inspiration I found a house on Papa Ted's site that had what I'm looking for. Its the Dec 2009 HOM. Ill post the pic here. I also have one other pic of this style, different house, cant remember if I pulled it from ebay or someone sent it to me.
In Papa Teds description of the Dec 2009 HOM he said he knew of only three types like this.
I would love to see more examples than the two I have. If anybody has pics or knows anything more about these houses I would greatly appreciate it!!
Thanks!
-Brian

So I just went back to Papa Teds site and realized the second picture came from HOM Jan 2010. :) There was also this one. So these are the three that Ted was talking about...anybody else know of anymore?
