JASMINES Easter Bunny Mantle Town

A few years back I attended an estate auction and the auctioneer put up these Easter Village putz houses at some much for choice. I got the bid at around $2.50 and asked him how many did he have and he said 15 so I replied "I'll take them all". Really great buy but wasn't quite expecting the reaction that my little great niece Jasmine (or Jazzy as we call her) had to them. She just adored them and wanted to take them with her. So I told her that she could have them after I'm gone. This is the first I have put them up for about 3 years and the "Easter tree" is a recent addition. I hope she likes it and will likely see it this year I hope. Enjoy the pictures. AND YES I KNOW THEY ARE NEITHER CARDBOARD NOR CHRISTMAS. But I thought it might get others to share their Easter ideas with the forum.
The first photo is towards the center of the display featuring the town Easter tree, Gazebo and Easter Town Gate.
The second photo is toward the left side and the last toward the right side of center.

This group are just a few vignettes or close ups of some of the village.
The first features a see saw wind up toy, the second features the grocery with a scene behind the plastic window and the last is a close of the bunny church. Enjoy and have a great Easter.

Tom, Thanks for sharing. For right now thoughts of Easter bring thoughts of warmer weather and it's one below zero here in Wisconsin this morning! It's a charming little village.

We're having a very heavy snowfall at the moment. And I did not notice the bunny nuns originally Paul--love.

Though I can recall a few nuns from my childhood who would NOT have been pleased, lol! I think your village is very charming Tom

Here are some photos from my 2013 Easter village--I collect anything Eastery-y all year--and try to find vintage bunnies most of all. As you can see, I think the candy container repros that Karl Fey was making are perfect--and the little barns are by Howard.

Bunny Nuns? I thought one was a priest or preacher and the others were in choir robes. Serving just one parishioner so it would seem. Yes I like the little cheap plastic toy see-saw but it doesn't work too good as such thing go.
Love Maria's Easter set up and yes the Karl Fey houses. Glad I got what I did but wish I had gotten more. I did manage to get all but one of his designs of Loggies. Perhaps my favorite of his work. I REALLY wanted his Cardboard Depot RR style. Alas he quit before I could scape up the cash.

Tom, do you have a photo of the Fey building you missed out on? I'm just curious.

Also, since we're talking Easter, I'll throw in that after extensive research I've determined that both Easter Eggs and the Easter Bunny (Osterhase in German) were invented by Christians - the latter by 16th-century German Lutherans and the former by Greek-speaking Christians in eastern Europe - a side effect of trying to preserve eggs until the end of Lent. (Having grown up with eggs pickled in beet juice, I don't consider that much of a stretch.)
