Just learned that Pete Oehmen of coconut fame, is working on dies to make windows and doors!
Wouldn't that make life easier! Will keep you posted.

I can never get the arch on the top of the door opening to look real good.
Having a die would make it a lot easier.

I believe that Pete is working on dies to make windows and fences (not doors). I agree that those door arches can be tough to get right, but I for one am really looking forward to something that will produce those nice scalloped fences and save my arthritic hands!

That's a good question, I'll ask Pete. In the meantime, you may find this of interest. I mentioned it elsewhere. It's a rotary cutter for decorative edges system--which might be useful in making fences or architectural elements:

What Pete will be offering is the finished product... not the actual die. So he will be offering the colorful mullioned windows that are frequently seen in houses, and will be making fences for sale. We cannot, unfortunately, purchase the actual die to produce these things from Pete, although I suppose they can be purchased somewhere.... at a very high cost from what I understand. I would really like to have an arch punch type tool that would make the scalloped edge for fences and such. I got a very preliminary quote of $400 to produce such a tool.... a bit high for me!
