Tried a new house.
Built on a similar pattern to my post office house.
Tried some new coatings.
Roof line and balcony is paint over sand.
The main part of the house is 2 colors of florist sand.
The steps are paint over sand.
The fence and base is plaster mixed with sand.
Trees are my ground up styrofoam coating.
House is 5" x 3.75" x 1.75. (not counting base.
May need to add a bit more snow.

Very sharp looking house Steve.
Re: New build
Steve...
I wondered what you have been building...now we all know...really like the colors and textures of the floral sand...nice contrast with the painted details...precisely cut window mullions, too...Did you invest in a die to cut the scallops?...

I really like the way the red trim pops and all the textures. Is the house one or three separate pieces?

Re: New build
Yes Howard I did.
Could never hand cut the scalloped edge the way I liked the look.

Re: New build
Just noticed there was an unanswered question in the comments.
It's 3 pieces, the sand coating is so thick it hides the seams pretty well.
