Lackie question

Post by Laurie »

Does anyone have a vintage Lackie house, or know if the windows were made out of red or clear acetate. The pictures I've looked at make it appear that the windows are clear. Thanks for any help.

Hi,

So happens I have all my putz houses out for sorting and repairing. My lakkies have red cellophane covering the windows. I can see why you'd think they are clear because many of the cello windows on my houses have faded to clear.

Thanks so much Barb. At least from now on I'll make mine with red windows and pretend the ones I've already made have just faded :-). If you ever feel like posting a picture of your Lackies, I'd love to see them. How wonderful that you have some.

You are welcome! I actually only own one original, which I will take a pic of and send along. My other is a copy of an original that was lent to me.
