Building Laurie's Center Entrance, Two Peak "Dolly" House...

Here's a place to post patterns you want to share, link to patterns you find elsewhere on the internet, and request particular kinds of patterns you're looking for. I've moved a few existing messages here to get the forum started.

Building Laurie's Center Entrance, Two Peak "Dolly" House...

Post by Howard »

greetings to all...

regular forum followers will remember all the "dolly" house patterns that Lynn and I worked on and posted earlier this year...now, i'm happy to be able to post patterns for yet another style "dolly" house...this time provided by Laurie...

a picture of the house laurie built is below along with two sheets of patterns she drew on 1/4" grid graph paper...

if you have a dolly house that just begs to be built...please let us know...i'll be happy to work with you to get the patterns and pictures posted on the forum...i know lynn and laurie feel the same way...

i've started my little glitter house version and will be posting it soon...my version will sit on a 3/4" thick raised base, have small folded corner fences and two folded trees...i'll be going with the extra fine glitter is use on previous "dolly" houses...

of course a new house means a new "flattie" figure for the front yard...wonder what it will be?...

my very best regards...howard...

Ingenious roof design. I didn't realize that was the way it went together. I like it. I also like the zig zag windows. I didn't notice them until I saw the cutout version.

I'm glad the patterns worked out Howard. I wasn't aware that drawing on both sides of one piece of graph paper with pencil would bleed through like that - it's always a learning process. Lucy - I'm not sure the roof was originally put together that way, but it seemed like a logical way to make it work.

This is a great house, nice job with the pattern Laurie. This is 1 Dolly I didn't make, may have to build this one, you can never have too many Dolly houses!

good morning to all...

haven't made it to the shop for primer yet...so here's a pix of the completed house...still in raw cardboard state...

color theme?..undecided...i'll get the dolly houses i've made and choose a combination that's different than the others...

may remake the tree on the right a little shorter like laurie did...it looks better than two trees the same height...

base measures about 6 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 3/4" thick...overall height, including base, is approximately 4 3/8"...

my very best regards...howard...

Looking real good Howard. Love those trees! I have a digital copy of those type of windows. I'll try to post them later on today.

Cheers,

Such joyful colors. The kids playing in the snow really add a wonderful touch. You and Laurie and Lynn have made a wonderful collection.
