greetings to all...

my version of Lynn's Fireplace Church is finished...and, based on Steve's comment, i stayed with the glitter i used on the Fireplace Cottage...

i'll post a picture of the church later this week when it's on the mantel and the lights are turned on...hope you'll like the miniature stained glass windows that Lynn developed for this project...i know i really do!...

i made another small tweak to the three lights that illuminate the houses...i'll include that with the illuminated church also...

my very best regards...

Howard...

The High-rise is the third house for the Fireplace mantel. This one measures 1 ¼ by 1 inches, and 1 ¾ inches tall. The base is a 2 inch square with a half inch light hole. I glued 1/8 square balsa wood strips along the inside edge at the top, down about 1/8 of an inch, so the roof sits down a bit inside of the house.

I used fine sand over the surface and when dry it received a coat of paint. The door is PWD 4s reduce to fit the doorway. Fine glass glitter covers the snow areas on the fence and the walkway.

I have one more house to go.......

This is the last mini house, the twin peaks. This house measures 1 ¼ by 1 inches, and 1 6/8 inches tall. The windows and door are glued on the outside of this house. I used Pet’s die-cut window frames with frosted vellum. For the windows I used WM-1 and cut out one pane for each window, the pattern tells the story.

I needed something for the front so I added a wreath. I trimmed the pipe cleaner so it was skinny enough.

greetings to all...

i got a "sneak peek" at the pattern for lynn's twin peak fireplace cottage a week or so ago...and got a head start on building it... :D

here's my version with the addition of a chimney and two attic windows...i also reversed the location of the front window and door...but it's still the same basic house...it's in the raw cardboard state in this picture...but hope to have it finished in a day or so...

my very best regards...

Very nice Howard! Is that a piece of chip board on top of the cardboard floor? To me, that would add extra stability and overall rigidity. Genius my friend! :)
