2017 Christmas Village

Please use this forum for photos of your putz villages - some of you don't make your own houses, but you still display a lot of artistry when you combine and arrange them. And the rest of us would love to see your work. Again, it works best if you resize your photos to 800px wide or less before you upload them - Paul

2017 Christmas Village

Post by Geoff »

This is the set that I bought on eBay last Summer. I used a Dept 56 lighting system and lit 12 of the 20 houses and buildings. I did get a (sometimes) working trolley car but no lamp posts. (Howard's Red Church is center, front facing) It looks a little slapdash, but I'm still workin gon it

Geoff...

About your sometimes running trolley...I suggest you clean the top of the rails and clean the wheels...also recommend checking that all the rail joints are in good contact and the hook up wires from the power supply/transformer are secure...that should make a difference in when and how it runs...

As for methods of track and wheel cleaning methods...everyone has their own...but I’d consult the manufacturer’s website and follow their recommendations...
