My latest project is a skating party, including a shed and pond. The snowbank is made from sculpey shaped around an oval mirror and baked. I separated the two and painted and added some glass glitter to the snowbank. Now the best part with Howard’s idea I used wax paper over the mirror and then it was all glued together. I had to be really careful not to use too much glue or it seeped under the wax paper and onto the mirror. This took a few tries.
The shed is cover with “paper” wood planks and the roof is one-sided corrugated cardboard. The inside is lined with skates, but it’s just too dark inside to see
them I add some paper signs and a door.
The vendor is just heavy paper painted, not a true flatty,

Re: A Skating Party
Lynn, this is so neat. I just love the waxed paper idea. I will need to check with you on how to do that. It all comes together so well.
Re: A Skating Party
The flatties are absolutely amazing. This is a spectacular project that will add so much to any Putz village. It must have taken a lot of work. And then the wax paper over the mirror really does make it look like real ice.

Very well done--By the way, wax paper, sandwiched between two pieces of tape--makes excellent window material.
