Set I grew up with

On eBay today.

Postwar, medium-sized,

According to the description: Here is a nice collection of eight (8) vintage cardboard Christmas village houses and church. These houses have a hole in the back, where a small light can be mounted. Electric cords or the light bulbs are not included. I do not have. It looks like there is light dust or the Mica has yellow over time (if it should be bright and clear).

Three of the village houses look the same. Their design and construction and coloring are similar. Peach colored base, white house with brown trim on the roof. These three are in very good condition. It looks like one window is cracked. A couple of the trees lean. They are not straight up and down. The base measures 2-7/8" by 5-1/4" and it measures 3-1/2" tall. Stamped on the bottom, "Made in Japan".

Two other houses are the same. Their design and construction and coloring are similar. Green colored base, bright pink house with green trim on the roof. These two are in very good condition. One is missing front center cellophane window. The other has a small dime sized spot on the roof where the paint is missing. The base measures 2-7/8" by 5-1/4" and it measures 3-1/2" tall. Stamped on the bottom, "Made in Japan".

One house has a brown base, peach colored house with brown roof trim. Very good condition. The base measures 2-7/8" by 5-1/4" and it measures 3-1/2" tall. Stamped on the bottom, "Made in Japan".

One house has a brown base, grey colored house with green roof trim. Half of the roof is missing paint. One the back side there is a section missing. The front door cellophane is cracked. And it looks like the left rear corner of the base has been removed and then the opening covered (see pic). It may have gotten wet, looks like a light water stain. The base measures 2-7/8" by 5-1/4" and it measures 3-1/2" tall. Stamped on the bottom, "Made in Japan".

The last building in this village is the church. Green base, white building with lots of shiny mica and bright pink trim on the roofs. It looks like a few drops water have dropped onto the base (see pic). The red cellophane front door and the steeple base window has come loss a little bit. This old beauty measures 3-1/4" by 6" and stands 7-1/2" tall. Stamped on the bottom, "Made in Japan".

I bid $22 just so I could see what it eventually goes for, but I don't actually need these, so if anyone else is interested, I won't be bidding again.

No, it went cheap, but I didn't really need it. Just wanted to share part of "my story."
