This page includes links to free, downloadable resources you can use to restore or build cardboard putz houses and accessories. Although we are listing only one kind of resource at the moment, there is a lot of stuff on that page, and we have many other resources “in the pipeline,” so check back.
Printed (Paper) Resources - This page contains free, downloadable graphic pages that you can use to print windows and doors that are based on designs found on vintage putz houses of all kinds.
Cello Sheets - This page contains graphics based on the original gold-frame on red cellophane windows. I’ve had great luck using a colored laser to print them on overhead projector material.
Free SVG Files - this page contains free, downloadable SVG files that you can use with a programmable craftcutter to cut your own materials for building putz house and related accessories. Right now we have only a few patterns posted, but we have more to add as we get time.
Windowframe Patterns - This article describes how to use our SVG windowframe patterns to cut out your own putz house windowframes if you have a craftcutter or signcutter that can work with third-party software such as Sure Cuts-A-Lot or Make-The-Cut.
Which Doors and Windows Do I Need? - A guide to the kind of doors and windows used by the major classes of putz houses, with links to resources and suppliers.
